Using JCL to produce Analyzer reports


Analyzer JCL statements are used to perform the following tasks:

  • define how a report batch job should run in your system
  • point to the data set containing Extractor records for reports
  • direct diagnostic and error messages should your job encounter a problem
  • specify the reports to be produced
  • specify where report output and other batch reporting variables should be directed

Accessing the Analyzer JCL Builder ISPF Application

CMF MONITOR Analyzer provides an ISPF application for building and maintaining the JCL to produce CMF Analyzer reports.

To access this interface, invoke your MainView CLIST. The first panel you see looks similar to the panel in the following figure:

You can access all BMC Software MainView products from this panel. To display a menu that includes CMF Analyzer options, select option Z to open the z/OS and USS Solutions panel (see the following figure).

From the panel shown in above figure, select the ANALYZER option (option 8) to enter the JCL Builder application.

CMF MONITOR 6.1
