Commands for accessing and editing a JCLLIB or CTLLIB member

When you invoke an ISPF EDIT session from a JCLLIB or CTLLIB member list, the CMF Line Command Macro Interface is activated, enabling CMF-provided custom line edit commands.

Use EDIT line and primary commands to edit JCLLIB and CTLLIB members.

In addition to the ISPF EDIT-provided commands, you can use the following CMF-provided edit line commands to interface with the Analyzer Lexicon. These commands act on Analyzer control statements as single, logical statements, whether they occupy one line or several lines of the member.

  • IM (Insert Model) inserts a model control statement set that you select from the CTLLIB. The command displays a CTLLIB member list from which you make a selection. The selected member is inserted following the line on which you entered the IM command.
  • IP (Insert Parameter) displays a pop-up Parameter List panel displaying the control statement name, its description, and a list of the statement’s parameters. The parameter list includes the parameter formats and descriptions.

For more information, see Control statement parameter list.

  • IS (Insert Statement) displays a list of Analyzer control statements with descriptions. If you select a statement from the list, the statement is inserted—with model parameters—at the line following the line on which you entered the IS command.

For more information about selecting a control statement, see Selecting-a-control-statement.

  • SP (Set Parameter) opens a dialog based on the selected Analyzer control statement and parameter name. After you enter or select a new value for the parameter, the member being edited is redisplayed. The parameter’s updated value appears in the current line.

    For more information, see Navigating-Analyzer-Control-Statements.
