SCMDATA


The SCMDATA control statement causes the CMF MONITOR Extractor to collect Storage Class Memory (SCM) statistics and write SMF type 74-10 records.

The SMF type 74-10 records consist of data in the following sections:

  • SCM Configuration Measurement Section
  • SCM Device Information Section

Monitoring modes

You can specify one SCMDATA statement for each monitoring mode, continuous (CPM) or intermittent (IPM).

Sampler and record types

The SCMDATA statement controls the SCM sampler, which produces SMF type 74-10 records.

Only the CMF MONITOR Extractor uses the SCMDATA control statement.

Parameters

The parameter for the SCMDATA control statement is:

SAMPLE=

specifies the number of milliseconds between data gathering cycles for the SCM data being sampled

The default is 30000 milliseconds, or 30 seconds. Acceptable values are 5000 to 60000. The specified time will be rounded to the nearest second.

Example

SCMDATA SAMPLE=30000

The CMF MONITOR Extractor collects SCM data once every 30 seconds.
