LOCKDATA


The LOCKDATA control statement causes the CMF MONITOR Extractor to collect Serialization Delay data.

This data includes:

  • CMS Lock Type Data
  • Local Lock Data Section
  • CML Lock Owner Data Section
  • CML Lock Requestor Data Section
  • GRS Latch Type Data
  • GRS Enqueue Data

Monitoring modes

One LOCKDATA statement can be specified for each monitoring mode, continuous (CPM) or intermittent (IPM).

Sampler and record types

The LOCKDATA statement controls the LOCK sampler, which produces SMF type 72-5 records.

Parameters

The parameter for the LOCKDATA control statement is:

SAMPLE=

specifies the number of milliseconds between data gathering cycles for the Serialization Delay data being sampled

The default is 30000 milliseconds or 30 seconds. Acceptable values are 30000 to 99999.

Example

LOCKDATA SAMPLE=30000

instructs the CMF MONITOR Extractor to sample Serialization Delay data every 30000 milliseconds or once every 30 seconds
