Channel Path Activity Report (Analyzer report)
The Channel Path Activity Report, in the figure below, shows information about the input/output definition file (IODF), and about the channels, including utilization percentages, channel speed, and read and write rates.
It is produced by using the CHANNEL Analyzer control statement. The data is obtained by using CHANNEL Extractor control statements.
This report can have the following sections:

This section shows information about the input/output definition file (IODF). - Overview of DCM Channels
This section shows information for channels managed by DCM. There is one row for each channel type. - Channel Profile
This section shows specific information for each channel paths; other than those appearing in the sections below. - Channels with PNET IDS
This section shows specific information for each channel path that contains a physical network ID. - Hipersockets Channels
This section shows message rates and sizes for entire complex. - Channel Path Description
This sections shows the description of each type of channel path.

CHANGED THIS REPORT PERIOD | whether the channel path management facility (CPMF) mode changed during the period covered by the report If the value is YES, only TOTAL values appear in the report. |

OVERVIEW OF DCM CHANNELS | |
CHANNEL - GROUP | a summary line with the average values for all channels in this group The report shows this line for each channel type that DCM manages. |
CHANNEL - G | the generation of the channel This value differentiates between channels of the same channel type when one has significant differences from the other. |
CHANNEL - NO | number of channels of the group |
UTILIZATION % - PART | percent of time that a shared channel was busy for the home partition 1 For an unshared channel, the value is identical to that of the UTILIZATION % - TOTAL. |
UTILIZATION % - TOTAL | percent of time that a channel was busy for the whole complex 1 For an unshared channel, the value is identical to that of the UTILIZATION % - PART. |
UTILIZATION % - BUS | utilization of the internal PCI bus for the channel This value is the percentage of the cycles per second used for I/O operations over the maximum internal bus cycles per second. |
READ (MB/SEC) - PART | rate per second of megabytes read by using the channel for the home partition 2 |
READ (MB/SEC) - TOTAL | rate per second of megabytes read by using the channel for the entire complex 2 |
