BMC System Performance architecture
BMC System Performance for Db2
has the following elements at its core:
- Data Collector
- Report Manager
- Advisors
These elements are described in detail in BMC AMI Pool Advisor for Db2.
The Data Collector gathers information from Db2 for use in the System Performance and Pool Advisor reports and for BMC AMI Ops Monitor for Db2 thread history. It also sends requests for system parameter modifications to OPERTUNE. The Report Manager is the display mechanism for System Performance and Pool Advisor reports. You can access OPERTUNE and BMC AMI Ops Monitor for Db2 directly from the Report Manager. System Performance and Pool Advisor use Advisor technology to detect problems and to recommend corrective actions.
