BMC II for z/OS event class definitions

The following events are defined:

BAROC-events

MV_MAINVIEW-class-slot-descriptions

MV_EVENT-class-slot-descriptions

MV_CTRL-class-slot-descriptions

You can customize BMC II for z/OS events and rules from the BMC Impact Explorer console. Although the BMC Impact Manager Knowledge Base Reference Guide details how to customize events and rules, the following list includes issues specific to BMC II for z/OS of which you must be aware when customizing events and rules :

• Create your own files for customized events.
• Use the MV_EVENT_ xxxxxxx class as the super class for your user defined class.
• To extend the BMC Software classes use a separate BAROC file.
• When you create a rule, create a new .mrl file.
• If you uninstall BMC Impact Integration for z/OS and you have customized events, you might need to remove your customizations manually. If your customizations are dependent on BMC Impact Integration for z/OS classes or rules, you might encounter problems compiling the classes until the .load file is updated to remove your customizations.
