Configuring the CDB Automator

BMC Helix Continuous Optimization for Mainframes uses a CDB Automator script to populate UIE data into a staging database. To configure the Microsoft Windows server for BMC AMI Capacity Database Web Services, you must perform the following actions:

  • Edit an installed CDB Automator script, configure a system ODBC DSN, and add it to the CDB Automator database catalog.
  • Update the script's Populate event to pull data from the UIE job.
  • Schedule the edited script to run daily.

If you are a  BMC Helix Continuous Optimization for Mainframes user who already maintains CDB data from UIE, you can skip this section.
