Getting started

The BMC Helix Continuous Optimization for Mainframes components perform the following functions:

  • Extract IBM z/OS and subsystem metrics from SMF and IBM RMF data
  • Load the extracted metrics into the BMC Helix Continuous Optimization database

You can display these metrics in an out-of-the-box Mainframe Capacity View. You can display a number of charts for the most important types of mainframe objects: CPCs, LPARs, z/OS images, Sysplex, user-defined jobs and STC groups, and so on.
