Configuring BMC Helix Continuous Optimization for Mainframes ETL


Before you configure BMC Helix Continuous Optimization for Mainframes ETL, you should familiarize yourself with the following BMC Helix Continuous Optimization concepts:

Data from UIE is transferred and populated into a CDB staging database. To get this data into the BMC Helix Continuous Optimization Database, you must:

  • Configure the BMC Helix Continuous Optimization for MainframesETL task to pull data from the CDB staging database and populate the data warehouse
  • Run the ETL task manually to prepare various system parameters
  • Schedule the ETL task to run automatically to keep the data warehouse updated with the latest information
