Specify JOBCARD and other operational defaults

In customization steps that involve data set allocations, you are prompted to specify the volume serial ID (VOLSER) and UNIT name. In other steps, you are prompted to supply the high-level qualifier (hilevel) for the product libraries.
To prepare for these steps, write down the VOLSER and UNIT name for the product libraries, along with the following information:

Prompt

Description

Prefix ===>

high-level qualifier for product libraries

Unit-T ===>

generic UNIT name for temporary data sets

Unit-P ===>

generic UNIT name for permanent data sets

VOLSER ===>

VOLSER for permanent data sets

SYSID ===>

system image ID (not to exceed eight characters)

The SYSID value is used to build names for data sets that cannot be shared across multiple systems. In all places where hilevel is referenced, this value is the prefix value for your BMC Discovery for z/OS libraries and the SYSID value.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
