Installing

BMC AMI Ops User Interface is a modern, web-based interface designed to help organizations monitor, manage, and automate mainframe operations. It provides a centralized, intuitive platform that integrates data from various BMC AMI Ops components. This enables faster issue detection, improved performance, and reduced operational costs.

Key concepts

Using BMC AMI Ops User Interface, you can:

  • Access alarm information.
  • Visualize the View data in tables, detailed formats, and historical trend analysis charts.
  • Create analytics dashboards to examine current and projected trends.
  • Access BMC AMI Ops Insight product for real-time monitoring of your environment and alerting for proactive issue resolution. For more information about BMC AMI Ops Insight, see BMC AMI Ops Insight online documentation.

BMC AMI Ops Monitor, BMC AMI Ops Insight, BMC AMI Ops Analytics Datastore, and BMC AMI Ops Analytics Agent services sign in with the BMC AMI Ops UI Discovery server as they come online.

When a user logs in to BMC AMI Ops User Interface, the BMC AMI Ops UI Server authenticates the user. It then connects to the BMC AMI Ops UI Discovery server to get a list of registered services and verifies which services the user can access. The user interface is built based on the services that the user can access.

Subsequent communication is then directly between BMC AMI Ops User Interface and the relevant services.
