Understanding the alarms overview
The first time you access an alarms overview, you need to connect to a Host Server. For more information, see Connecting-to-a-Host-Server.
Examining the alarms overview
The alarms overview provides the status of the BMC AMI Ops products in the Host Server. The products are grouped by technology, which is defined in the products.
Each technology widget displays the number of targets that were discovered and grouped by the technology and the following information:
- Number of targets that are configured for the specified technology
- Number of targets that are active (Up), inactive (Down), and unavailable (N/A)
- Number of targets with alarms at critical and warning severities
- Number of alarms at critical and warning severities
The color of the widget reflects the most severe current alarm.
