Before you begin

The BMC AMI Ops User Interface server must be running to launch the BMC AMI Ops User Interface. For information about the server installation, see Installing and General-customizations.

To sign in using credentials or Access Code (Multi-Factor Authentication)

    In this URL:

    • protocol is the http or https, depending on how your environment is set up.
    • hostName is the IP address or name of the system on which the BMC AMI Ops User Interface server is running.
    • portNumber is the BMC AMI Ops UI Serverport number.

For information about configuration for HTTP, see Updating the SSL connection settings in the Customizing-after-installation section.

  2. In the Sign in dialog box, enter your mainframe user name and password or the MFA access code .
The Connect to Default Host Service check box is selected by default. You can clear the check box if you don't want to connect to the default host server.

    Warning

    Important

You can connect to the default host server only if you have selected default service earlier in the Connect to Ops Host Server panel. Else, the signing in does not automatically connect to the default host server even if you select this check box.

Make sure the Connect to Default Host Service check box is selected to sign in successfully to connect to the default host server.
