This topic describes the directory structure for the BMC AMI Ops User Interface installation.

Important

The BMC AMI Ops User Interface files are stored in ASCII format. However, on z/OS, the default codepage is EBCDIC (as provided by IBM). Due to the default EBCDIC encoding, proper handling of character encoding is crucial to guarantee file integrity and readability.

We recommend that when you are browsing or editing BMC AMI Ops User Interface files in Open MVS (OMVS), use the z/OS UNIX directory environment.

  • If using Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), the path to log files is /var/lib/containers/storage/volumes/.
