Planning


With the installation of any BMC AMI Ops Monitoring component or BMC AMI Ops Insight, BMC AMI Ops User Interfaceis also installed.

To prepare for the installation, make sure that you have the following information ready. To change the settings after installation, see Customizing-after-installation.

Important

BMC AMI Ops User Interface installed on a single LPAR can connect to multiple Host Servers in the Sysplex.

Number of idle minutes after which the user session times out

Set the number of idle minute by using AMIAPS_IDLE_TIME.

Unless the user ID is specified in the AMIAPS_IDLE_USER, the session times out after the specified number of idle minutes.

ID of special user for whom the session does not time out

Set the ID of the special user by using AMIAPS_IDLE_USER.

SSL (recommended) enable

To enable, enter yes.

Otherwise, enter no.
