We are continuously looking for ways to improve our products. Telemetry data or the anonymous data that we collect helps us understand:
- How our products are used
- How users navigate from one page to another in the BMC AMI Ops User Interface
- What features are used most and how
We use this information to enhance the ease of use and add more value to features as part of our ongoing product improvement efforts.
Telemetry data sheds light on how users interact with our products when using BMC AMI Ops User Interface. Telemetry data consists of small pieces of data about standard end-user activity (for example, opening the Dashboard page, a specific view, or using buttons or filters on a page.
Telemetry data also indicates:
- Number of users for a product per customer
- Time of first and last interaction with the BMC AMI Ops User Interface
- Number of visits to a page
- City and country of the user
Telemetry data is collected from the browser tab that is running BMC AMI Ops User Interface and sent to a server where data is processed and aggregated to display it in a structured format.
Telemetry data is accessible to authorized BMC personnel only.
Administrators and users can turn off the telemetry data at any time if they don't want to share their data.
WarningImportant
We do not collect identifying information about the users such as names, emails, and user IDs, so BMC cannot identify specific users or individuals. The anonymous data or telemetry data is relevant only to user actions inside BMC AMI Ops User Interface. We do not monitor any other user activity in other browser tabs or windows.
Telemetry data consists of information about user interactions with the following pages, menu options, and buttons:
