Stopping and starting the services


This topic provides instructions that can help you start and stop the BMC AMI Ops User Interface services. You can start or stop these services in any order.

All services complete startup after connecting to the BMC AMI Ops UI Discovery server.

To start and stop the BMC AMI Ops UI Discovery server

The BMC AMI Ops UI Discovery server is a web server that is installed on the mainframe as part of the BMC AMI Ops Infrastructure standard installation.

The default procedure name is AMIDSSRV. Replace the name with the procedure name you specified when you installed the component.

  • To start the BMC AMI Ops UI Discovery server, in the spool (SDSF), use the /S AMIDSSRV command.
  • To stop the BMC AMI Ops UI Discovery server, in the spool (SDSF), use the /P AMIDSSRV command.

To start and stop the BMC AMI Ops UI Server

The default procedure name is AMIAPSRV. Replace the name with the procedure name you specified when you installed the component.

  • To start the BMC AMI Ops UI Server, in the spool (SDSF), use the /S AMIAPSRV command.
  • To stop the BMC AMI Ops UI Server, in the spool (SDSF), use the /P AMIAPSRV command.

To start and stop the monitor service

The default procedure name is AMIMOSRV. Replace the name with the procedure name you specified when you installed the component.

  • To start the BMC AMI Ops User Interface monitor service, in the spool (SDSF), use the /S AMIMOSRV command.
  • To stop the BMC AMI Ops User Interface monitor service, in the spool (SDSF), use the /P AMIMOSRV command.
