Customizing views and Help text

The windows interface provides the ability to customize all views and Help text to meet the particular needs of your site.

Important

Tabular menu views (such as MAIN) and easy menus cannot be customized.

  • View customization
    With the BMC AMI Ops view customization facility, you can make the following changes to customize the views:
    • Sort on multiple columns
    • Rearrange columns
    • Graph data
    • Modify a view so that certain columns are completely hidden, thus displaying only the data that you need
      To enter the view customization facility, type CUSTom on the command line. For further instructions, type HELP CUSTom on the command line.

  • Help text customization
    To create your own Help text, seeCreating online Help. You can store this Help text in your own private Help text library or make it accessible to all BMC AMI Ops Monitor for z/OS users at your site.
