NMI settings

In the MVIPNMID view, the NMI settings section contains the fields that control how BMC AMI Ops Monitor for IP collects data from configured IBM NMIs.

The following table lists the fields in this section of the MVIPNMID view. Turning one of these settings on or off does not affect the configuration of the IBM NMI services.

Field

Description

SNA (EE/RTP/CSM) Data Collection

Specifies whether to enable the collection of Enterprise Extender (EE), Rapid Transfer Protocol (RTP), and Communication Storage Manager (CSM) data from the IBM SNA NMI

End of Connection NMI Collection

Specifies whether to enable the collection of end-of-connection data from the IBM TCP/IP NMI (SYSTCPCN)

SMF (FTP) Data Collection

Specifies whether to enable the collection of SMF (including FTP) data from the IBM TCP/IP NMI (SYSTCPSM)

zERT Data Collection

Specifies whether to enable the collection of detailed encryption data from the IBM TCP/IP NMI (SYSTCPER) or summary encryption data from the IBM TCP/IP NMI (SYSTCPES) NMI

zERT Audit by Policy Agent

Specifies whether to enable the collection of zERT Audit by Policy data from the IBM TCP/IP NMI (SYSTCPER)

IPSec Data Collection

Specifies whether to enable the collection of IPSec data

TN3270E Performance Monitoring

Specifies whether to enable the collection of TN3270E performance data from the IBM TCP/IP NMI
