Accessing the JCL Generator

Take the following steps to access the JCL Generator:

  1. Perform one of the following functions:
    • Select option 2, BATCH, from the IMS Solutions menu

    • Run the CLIST by using the following command:

      ex 'hilvl.clib(IOFJCLGN)'

      hilvl and clib were defined during installation. clib is either BBCLIB or BMCCLIB.

  2. At the prompt, provide the following information:

    • A high-level qualifier, which is the same high-level qualifier used with the CLIST to start the JCL Generator

      The low-level qualifier, which is BMC or BB to correspond with the CLIST used to start the JCL Generator

    Important

    This step is only performed the first time you start the JCL Generator.

  3. At the welcome screen, press Enter.

    Important

    The Performance Advisor option is available only if you have a license for the BMC AMI Ops for IMS solution.

    The MVIMS JCL Generator Menu is displayed.
