Requesting a RECTRACE report

Use the following procedure to request a RECTRACE report.

  1. On DYNCT, type P (Print) in the CM column next to a trace user ID.
An ISPF EDIT panel displays batch JCL for running the RECTRACE report. You can run the report via the DOMBRPT1 program.
  2. Specify a valid job card and submit the batch job.
The RECTRACE report includes each IFCID that is currently defined to the DOMBPRT1 program. You can identify the IFCIDS that were traced by looking at the Field Name column.

You can format the interval statement date format (DATEFMT) in the dynamic trace print function with a specific date format:

  • U=USA (default), Umm/dd/yy
  • E=Euopean, Edd/mm/yy
  • I=ISO, Iyy/mm/dd

Note

The DATEFMT setting determines the date format for the JCL print option.

The report output uses the date format specified in the DOM profile. For details, see Specifying-DOMPLEX-level-parameters-for-option-sets.

For more details, see INTERVAL-statement-and-parameter.

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
