Saving and installing a new Db2 workload definition

When you add a new workload, the workload is displayed on the DWKLDDEF view with an inactive status. On DWKLDDEF the view mode is changed from EDIT to EDIT MOD, indicating that changes to the workload list are pending.

To save and install a workload definition

  1. (optional) Type SAVE on the COMMAND line.
The workload definition is saved in inactive status.

    Warning

    Note

You can activate a workload without saving it.

  2. (optional) Type INStall in the CMD column beside the workload name.
    The workload definition is activated.
Warning

Note

The INStall command immediately updates the local BBI-SS PAS. If you are running BMC AMI Ops Monitor for Db2 in multiple PASs, you might want to issue the INStall command on any additional PASs. Otherwise, any saved definitions become active when those PASs are recycled.
