Setting up the CMF Analyzer JCL Builder
To set up the CMF Analyzer JCL Builder
- If you have not performed the setup procedure, the CMF Analyzer JCL Builder—Setup Panel (1 of 4) (see the figure in Information that the CMF Analyzer JCL Builder setup panels require) is displayed automatically when you start the application.
If the CMF Analyzer JCL Builder is already set up, select S from the CMF Analyzer JCL Builder—Main Menu (see the figure in Navigating-the-CMF-Analyzer-JCL-Builder-Main-Menu) to review or edit the settings.
The CMF Analyzer JCL Builder—Setup Panel (1 of 4) opens. - Enter the values requested on the setup panel. When you are satisfied with the values that you have entered, press F3/END.
The information on the panel is saved, the panel closes, and the next setup panel opens. Repeat step Step 2 until you have entered the requested data on all of the panels.
- To terminate the setup procedure and return to the CMF Analyzer JCL Builder—Main Menu panel, type the EXIT or CANCEL primary command:
- The EXIT command saves the pending updates.
- The CANCEL command discards any pending updates to the current setup panel.
When you have completed the setup, the CMF Analyzer JCL Builder—Main Menu opens. Thereafter the CMF Analyzer JCL Builder—Main Menu opens when you start the application.
Information that the CMF Analyzer JCL Builder setup panels require
To set up the CMF Analyzer JCL Builder you need to provide the information solicited in each setup panel.
CMF Analyzer JCL Builder—Setup Panel (1 of 4) (see the following figure) solicits DSNs for the user libraries and model libraries where the JCL and control statement sets that you create will be stored.
- User libraries contain the JCL and control statement sets that you create and maintain.
- Model libraries contain model JCL members and model control statement data sets that are used to create new JCLLIB and CTLLIB members.
Enter values into the following fields to complete CMF Analyzer JCL Builder—Setup Panel (1 of 4) (see the following figure):
- User JCLLIB dataset
- User CTLLIB dataset
- Model JCLLIB dataset
- Model CTLLIB dataset
