PCIEDATA


The PCIEDATA control statement causes the BMC AMI Ops Monitor for CMF Extractor to collect IBM PCI Express (PCIe) hardware activity data and write SMF type 74-9 records.

The SMF type 74-9 records consist of data in the following sections:

  • PCIe function data
  • DMA data
  • Hardware accelerator
  • Hardware accelerator compression

Monitoring modes

You can specify one PCIEDATA statement for each monitoring mode, continuous (CPM) or intermittent (IPM).

Sampler and record types

The PCIEDATA statement controls the PCIE sampler, which produces SMF type 74-9 records.

Only the CMF Extractor uses the PCIEDATA control statement.

Parameters

The parameter for the PCIEDATA control statement is:

SAMPLE=

specifies the number of milliseconds between data-gathering cycles for PCIe data

The default is 30000 milliseconds, or 30 seconds. Acceptable values are 5000 to 60000. The specified time will be rounded to the nearest second.

Example

PCIEDATA SAMPLE=30000

The CMF Extractor collects PCIE data once every 30 seconds.
