Single region: Transient Data Usage container

This container displays the following types of CICS transient data usage collected over a 4-hour period for a single IBM CICS region:

  • TD buffers utilization
  • TD buffer waits
  • TD strings utilization
  • TD string waits

The data feed for these containers is defined in the low-level monitors that are specified in BBPARM member CMRBLK5; for example:

 The monitor parameter name must be specified as shown in the figure below because it is used as a filter on the charts in the container. Also, the interval must be specified as 15 seconds so that the metrics are collected at the appropriate intervals. A copy of the CMRBLK5 member is distributed in BBSAMP library.
