Usage notes
- The CHISTH view is displayed whenever the CHISTORY dialog is used to search for records.
- You cannot display this view from the COMMAND line. The CHISTH view is displayed only from the CHISTORY dialog. The CHISTH view is exactly like the CHIST view except it includes a hybrid section that contains parameters (MAX Records and MAX Exclude) that you can use to specify the timeframe data you want to display without navigating back to the CHISTORY dialog via PF3.
- If you attempt to display the CHISTH view by entering CHISTH on the COMMAND line, the following error message is displayed:
BBKT6E05E This view cannot be entered from the command line, it is accessible via CHISTORY only. - Use online help to find out what each field means in the hybrid section (the section above the tabular part of the view).
- The statistic for oldest/newest read and oldest/newest available are only displayed when the context has only one service point. You will see two blank lines if the context has more than one service point.
Related views
The CHISTH view has the same related views as the CHIST view (see CHIST-view). The following lists the only related view specific to the CHISTH view.
View | Description |
---|---|
CHISTHZ | To display summarized information based on the Tran ID field, enter the SUM command from the CHISTH view. The CHISTHZ view also contains the hybrid section and you cannot displays it by entering CHISTHZ from the COMMAND line. |
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
