Supported versions of IBM CICS for version 7.4

Version 7.4 of the BMC AMI Ops Monitor for CICS product supports the following releases of IBM CICS system:

  • CICS Transaction Server Version 6.2
  • CICS Transaction Server Version 6.1
  • CICS Transaction Server Version 5.6
  • CICS Transaction Server Version 5.5
  • CICS Transaction Server Version 5.4

Considerations-for-any-new-release

If you continue to use CICS releases that are no longer supported, you must exclude those CICS regions from the new installation of BMC AMI Ops Monitor for CICS. You can continue to use earlier supported releases of BMC AMI Ops Monitor for CICS to manage unsupported regions.

Important

We recommend that you separate the systems that are running earlier versions of BMC AMI Ops Monitor for CICS into their own CAS-PLEX and BBI-SS PLEX. If you do not do this, you will encounter issues with views as described in the sections under Considerations-for-any-new-release.
