CHISTORY dialog: select history records

The CHISTORY dialog provides an easy way to define selection criteria for retrieving history records. It also provides a way to display summarized interval data based on the specified selection criteria.

Records that are retrieved with the CHISTORY dialog are displayed in the CHISTH view, or the CHISTINT view when a Summary Interval is specified. CHISTORY enables you to

  • Define up to three values for various selection masks
  • Restrict the selection with various qualifiers (such as abended transactions only)
  • Define the time frame for the selection and define if the data is to read from END date/time or START date time.
  • Define the number of records returned by the selection
  • Define the summary interval for summarizing data returned by the selection
