Implementing Dynamic Tuning of IBM Db2 Connections
- You can invoke Dynamic Tuning with the Enabled Dyn Tune at Startup option from the CMRSOPT view.
For more information, see Using-the-CMRSOPT-view. The CMRSOPT-view displays the status of Dynamic tuning for IBM CICS regions. - You can use line commands DTY (activate) or DTN (inactivate) from the CREGAGT-view to enable or disable Dynamic Tuning for a CICS region during the life if the CICS-PAS connection.
- The CMRDTN family of views used to define Target Groups and DB2 Connection tuning parameters for each Target Group.
For more information, see the section CMRDTN-view. - The CDB2CONT view in the CDB2CON family of views. This view displays the parameter values and status information related to Dynamic Tuning the DB2 Connection attributes.
For more information about how to display the CDB2CONT view, see CDB2CON-view. - The BMC AMI Ops AutomationAlarm definition examines the information in the CDB2CONT view to determine when a change to the DB2 Connection attributes is needed.
For more information, see CDB2CONT-view-alarm-CICSD2CNSETATR. - The BMC AMI Ops AutomationRule is triggered when the Alarm determines a new attribute value is needed.
For more information about the Rule, see Sample-members-for-BMC-AMI-Ops-Automation-and-BMC-AMI-Ops-Monitor-for-CICS. - The BMC AMI Ops AutomationEXEC that invokes the commands to alter an attribute value in the Target CICS region.
For more information about the EXEC that the Rule schedule, see Sample-members-for-BMC-AMI-Ops-Automation-and-BMC-AMI-Ops-Monitor-for-CICS.
