Symbolic variables
PERFORMANCE REPORTER supports symbolic variables.
Variables are symbolic characters used as a substitute for a real value. They are predefined or user-defined. User-defined variables can be any alphanumeric character string that is eight bytes long and starts with an alphabetic character. A symbolic variable name can be preceded by an ampersand (&) to distinguish it from a literal, as described in PRL-control-statement-syntax.
