Record Count field for CTGHSTRY

The value in the Record Count field determines how many records should be returned per PAS.

When used with a context that includes multiple CTG targets, this value is divided by the number of CTG targets in the context that are managed by an individual BBI-SS PAS in order to determine the number of records that will be collected for an individual CTG target in the PAS.

For example, if the DEFREC or the number of record specified in CTGHSTRY is 1000 and the context has two BBI-SS PASs, PROD with two CTG targets and ACCT with three, then

PROD will return a maximum of 500 records per CTG target

ACCT will return a maximum of 333 records per CTG target

Record collection ends (and matching records are displayed in the CTGHIST view) when this value is reached regardless of whether or not all the records specified by the search period have been searched.

If the Record Count field is left blank, the value in the Default field is used. If a count greater than the value in the Maximum field is used, the value in the Maximum field is used instead.

The values for Default and Maximum fields are taken from BBIPROF member BDR#DEF. The BDR#DEF parameter DEFREC determines the value in the Default field. Initially it is set to 5000 (the default). The MAXREC parameter determines the value in the Maximum field. Initially it is set to 10000 (also the default). If BDR#DEF is not found in BBIPROF, the default is used.

See the Customizing after installation for information about changing the BDR#DEF member.
