CREGAGT view commands

The CREGAGT view displays the status of 

BMC AMI Ops Monitor for CICS

, 

BMC AMI Ops Automation for CICS

, and Energizer for CICS agents and facilities. From this view you can issue commands to control:

  • The BMC AMI Opsextractor
  • Task kill agent
  • The initialization and termination of BBI-SS PAS communication
  • Starting and stopping BMC AMI Ops Automation for CICS
  • Switching the dual CMRDETL data sets immediately
  • Forcing the writing of the VSAM CMRDETL buffer
  • Starting and stopping recording of T6E (CMRDETL) transaction history data to the VSAM file
  • Controling the setting of the SMF return code from the BMC AMI OpsM for CICS usage of the CICS XMNOUT global exit
  • Activating and deactivating session data collection
  • Program CPU timing data collection
  • Activating and deactivating temporary storage queue usage data collection
  • Activating and deactivating transient data queue usage data collection
  • Activating and deactivating web services usage data collection 
  • Resetting CMRSOPT (monitoring options)

  • Resetting CMRPRBT (problem threshold table)

     

The following table lists the commands that you can use from the CREGAGT view.

AOF

Terminate BMC AMI Ops Automation for CICS (same as the FST2 transaction’s SYSM OFF function).

AON

Start BMC AMI Ops Automation for CICS (same as the FST2 transaction’s SYSM ON function).

COF

Deactivate compression of the CICS SMF 110 performance records.

CON

Activate compression of the CICS SMF 110 performance records.

CSN

Deactivate session/connection activity recording.

CSY

Activate session/connection activity recording.

DOF

Stop recording of T6E (CMRDETL) transaction history data to the VSAM file. Cannot be issued from the FST2 transaction.

DON

Start recording of T6E (CMRDETL) transaction history data to the VSAM file. Cannot be issued from the FST2 transaction.

EOF

Set the XMNOUT return code to terminate SMF writing of the CICS exception records.

EON

Set the XMNOUT return code to initiate SMF writing of the CICS exception records.

FLU

Force (flush) the writing of the CMRDETL VSAM buffer.

INI

Initialize BMC AMI OpsM for CICS agents. This command initializes the BMC AMI OpsM for CICS agents by creating all resources, loading necessary programs, initiating communications with the BBI-SS PAS, and starting various functions, such as task kill, the extractor, and BMC AMI Ops Automation. The first time INI is used, a PLT-type initialization is performed. Subsequent uses restore the environment recorded by the TRM function unless the CICS was not connected to a BBI-SS PAS. In this case, the CMRSOPT settings for agent startup are used.

KOF

Terminate the task kill function.

KON

Start the task kill function.

KRL

Reload the task kill function or initiate it if it is not running.

LOF

Terminate the BMC AMI OpsM for CICS long-running task BCRT (same as the FST2 transaction’s LOFF function). Use this command only under the direction of BMC support.

LON

Start the BMC AMI OpsM for CICS long-running task BCRT (same as the FST2 transaction’s LON function). Use this command only under the direction of BMC support.

PGN

Stop the BMC AMI OpsM for CICS Program CPU Timing facility.

PGY

Start the BMC AMI OpsM for CICS Program CPU Timing facility.

POF

Set the XMNOUT return code to terminate SMF writing of the CICS performance records.

PON

Set the XMNOUT return code to initiate SMF writing of the CICS performance records.

PRL

Reload the CMRPRBT, problem threshold table.

QOF

Shut down the BMC AMI OpsM for CICS extractor (same as the FST2 transaction’s QOFF function).

QON

Start the BMC AMI OpsM for CICS extractor (same as the FST2 transaction’s QON function).

RES

Restart BMC AMI OpsM for CICS agents. This command is used after BMC AMI OpsM for CICS maintenance has been applied to CICS regions only.

ROF

Set the XMNOUT return code to terminate SMF writing of the CICS resource records.

RON

Set the XMNOUT return code to initiate SMF writing of the CICS resource records.

SRL

Reload the CMRSOPT.

SWI

Switch the dual CMRDETL data sets immediately.

TDN

Deactivate transient data (TD) queue activity recording.

TDY

Activate transient data (TD) queue activity recording.

TRM

Terminate BMC AMI OpsM for CICS agents. This command terminates the BMC AMI OpsM for CICS agents, records the processing environment, and removes BMC AMI OpsM for CICS from the CICS systems. The BMC AMI OpsM for CICS extractor and task kill functions are terminated, as well as BMC AMI Ops Automation, and their status recorded in the BMCMVCTQ temporary storage queue. All BMC AMI OpsM for CICS resources are discarded and released and communication with the BBI-SS PAS terminated.

TSN

Deactivate temporary storage (TS) queue activity recording.

TSY

Activate temporary storage (TS) queue activity recording.

WSN

Deactivate web services activity recording.

WSY

Activate web services activity recording.
