Setting WLM service classes

To set the WLM service classes for the BMC AMI Manager and Tomcat USS processes, perform the following procedure:

To set the jobname for the Tomcat data training process

To set a process jobname, the Tomcat started task user ID must have READ permission to the BPX.JOBNAME FACILITY class.

  1. Edit the Tomcat AMITCJCL in your system PROCLIB and add export MODELGEN_JOBNAME in environment variables.
  2. Edit the Tomcat AMITCJCL in your system PROCLIB and add export GENERIC_INGEST_JOBNAME in environment variables.
  3. Restart your Tomcat started task.

To set the jobnames for the BMC AMI Manager processes

To set a process jobname, the BMC AMI Manager started task user ID must have READ permission to the BPX.JOBNAME FACILITY class.

  1. Update the following environment variables in the installPath/aoidata/aoiinst/conf/amipdt.properties file:

    MLEAP_JOBNAME=<MLEAP_JOBNAME>
    PDTDB_JOBNAME=<PDTDB_JOBNAME>
    AMIMGR_JOBNAME=<AMIMGR_JOBNAME>

    Replace MLEAP_JOBNAME with the name of your MLEAP process.
    Replace PDTDB_JOBNAME with the name of your PDTDB process.
    Replace AMIMGR_JOBNAME with the name of your BMC AMI Manager process.

  2. Apply CPU Critical and Storage Critical to all three processes. For more information on CPU Critical and Storage Critical, see your IBM documentation.
  3. Restart your BMC AMI Manager started task.
