Signing in to BMC AMI Ops Insight

Sign in to BMC AMI Ops Insight and set the user preferences to investigate the events, view system status, or summary report. You can also do a product health check of the servers.

Before you begin

The Installation System must be running to launch the BMC AMI Ops Insight. For information about the installation, see Installing and General customizations.

To sign in to BMC AMI Ops Insight

  1. Open a browser and use the following URL:
    protocol://hostName:portNumber/login

    In this URL:

    • protocol is the http or https, depending on how your environment is set up.
    • hostName is the IP address or name of the system on which the BMC AMI Ops Insight is running.
    • portNumber is the BMC AMI Ops Insight server port number.

  2. In the sign-in dialog box, enter your mainframe user name and password.
  3. Click Sign In.
    The Active Event page is displayed.
