Enabling diagnostics
To enable or disable diagnostics
- Click the Administration icon
in the title bar.
- Click General Settings > Diagnostics in the menu on the left side.
- Click the switch to turn diagnostics on or off.

To collect diagnostic files
Collect log files with diagnostic messages as follows:
- Data Preparation address space – AMILOG01 data set that you defined during installation
- BMC AMI Manager – < installation directory > /aoidata/aoiinst/logs
- Tomcat – <installation directory>/aoihome/tomcat8/default/logs
- SMF Record Handler – <installation directory>/aoidata/srhinst/logs
- Docker container – Use the following commands to collect the logs:
- docker cp <container-name>:/tmp ./logs
- docker cp <container-name>:/var/log/nginx ./logs/proxy-logs
After you collect all of the log files, zip them and send them to your BMC customer support representative.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
