Setting WLM service classes


To set the WLM service classes for the BMC AMI Manager and Tomcat USS processes, perform the following procedure:

To set the jobname for the Tomcat data training process

To set a process jobname, the Tomcat started task user ID must have READ permission to the BPX.JOBNAME FACILITY class.

  1. Edit member AMITCENV6 in your BMC AMI Ops Insight runtime BMCSAMP.
  2. Uncomment the export MODELGEN_JOBNAME environment variable and set your job name for the BMC AMI Ops Insight java training process.
  3. Restart your Tomcat started task.

To set the jobnames for the BMC AMI Manager processes

To set a process jobname, the BMC AMI Manager started task user ID must have READ permission to the BPX.JOBNAME FACILITY class.

  1. Edit member AMIPROP in your BMC AMI Ops Insight runtime UBMCSAMP.
  2. Add the following environment variables to the top of this member: 

    MLEAP_JOBNAME='<AMIMLEAP>’
    PDTDB_JOBNAME='
    <AMIPDTDB>'
    AMIMGR_JOBNAME='
    <AMIMGRUI>'

    Replace <AMIMLEAP> with the the name of your MLEAP process.
    Replace <AMIPDTDB> with the the name of your PDTDB process.
    Replace <AMIMGRUI> with the the name of your BMC AMI Manager process.

  3. Apply CPU Critical and Storage Critical to all three processes. For more information on CPU Critical and Storage Critical, see your IBM documentation.
  4. Restart the AMICPYP job in your BMC AMI Ops Insight runtime UBMCSAMP to replace your amipdt.properties file in the z/FS file system.
  5. Restart your BMC AMI Manager started task.
