Scheduling model evaluation

Models are built based on your data. The usage of your system changes over time. Models based on older data are not always a good measure for your current system usage. BMC AMI Ops Insight includes functionality to evaluate your models to verify if they are still a good match for your data or if it's time to generate new models.

You can set the schedule for when to run the model evaluation. 

To set the evaluation schedule

1. Click the Administration icon  in the title bar. 
2. Click Model > Model Evaluation in the menu on the left side.
   

3. Select days and times to run your model evaluation. 

   Best Practices

   For best results, we recommend that you run the evaluation at a time that is close to when the model was generated. Ideally, this would be at peak activity time. Evaluation will not have a noticeable effect on your system's performance.

   We recommend that you run the evaluation once a week.
