Configuring your BMC AMI Ops connection
BMC AMI Ops Insight requires an active connection to your Host Server to enable some functionality, including the following:
- Active links to relevant BMC AMI Ops User Interfaceviews
- Access to BMC AMI Ops data for the detailed analysis functionality.
You can configure the details of the connection on the BMC AMI Ops UI page in the Administration menu.
To configure your BMC AMI Ops connection
- Click the Administration icon in the title bar.
- Click General Settings > BMC AMI Ops Integration in the menu on the left side.
The details of your connection to BMC AMI Ops UI are displayed. - If you are modifying your connection details, click Edit Configuration to enable editing.
- Enter all of the details.
- Click Save Configuration.
When you save, the application verifies that the hostname is valid. If the hostname is valid, it attempts to ping the host and port to test the connection. The results of the ping attempt are shown on the right.
To test the connection again at any time, click Retest Connection.
To delete your BMC AMI Ops connection
- Click the Administration icon in the title bar.
- Click General Settings > BMC AMI Ops Integration in the menu on the left side.
- Click Delete Configuration (
).
- Click Yes to confirm that you want to delete.
Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
