Saving a configuration


Use the following procedure to save a configuration.

  1. From the File menu, select Save configuration.
  2. Complete the Save configuration dialog:
    1. Set your library by selecting the site or user radio button.
    2. From the list of available configurations, select one that you want to replace, or type the name of a new configuration in the File name field.
    3. (Optional) In the Description field, enter a description that can help you distinguish this configuration from others.
    4. (Optional) Select one or more of the following check boxes:

      Set initial context to

      Automatically sets the initial context to the one that is specified when you start a MainView Explorer session

      Set as default configuration at start of session

      Opens this configuration as the default whenever you start a MainView Explorer session

      Replace member if it already exists

      Replaces an existing configuration member

  3. Click Save.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
