USERID parameters for the BBI-SS PAS environment

The following table describes the USERID parameters that are used by all BBI-PAS products:

Parameter

Description

AUTHJOB=[ xxxxxxxx|*]

Where xxxxxxxx is the one- to eight-character jobname, stepname, or, where applicable, the subsystem ID of a specific target

AUTHJOB authorizes the user to:

  • Use application commands to display target information for the named system
  • Use various BBI-SS PAS or product-specific facilities

    Each facility is authorized separately through the optional parameters listed in the remainder of this table.

  • Route application commands to the BBI subsystem that supports that target

AUTHJOB can be used as many times as needed to authorize a user for specific subsystems.

Warning

Important

Commands sent to remote systems are issued on the target only if the BBPARM library for the BBI-SS PAS target system contains an authorization member for the user, or if the command is authorized by the generic authorization member $RMTID. For more information, see Default-authorization-for-remote-users-RMTID.
