User address space (UAS)

The UAS is the home for a terminal session that provides the end-user session for all BMC AMI Ops products. The terminal session connects to a CAS (if one is available), a BBI-SS PAS, or both.

The following types of UASs are available:

  • Host Gateway that uses MainView Explorer

Using MainView Explorer, you can access BMC AMI Ops products from a web browser or application that is running on your personal computer.

  • TSO address space

Using a TSO address space, you can access BMC AMI Ops products and perform other TSO/ISPF functions.

  • VTAM or EXCP address space that uses Alternate Access

Using a separate address space that communicates with your terminal through either VTAM or EXCP, you can access BMC AMI Ops products and also perform other ISPF functions.

  • Tomcat address space for BMC AMI Ops User Interface (BMC AMI Ops User Interface)

Using BMC AMI Ops User Interface, you can access BMC AMI Ops products from any industry-standard browser that runs on your personal computer or tablet device (Android or iPad operating systems).
