Locating metrics in the Data Dictionary
This topic presents an example of how to locate metrics and provides useful methods to understand how to navigate through the dictionary views.
Assume that you want to find a metric that relates to CPU usage in the CMF product, but you do not know the metric name or the view that might contain it. The following procedure shows how you can use the Data Dictionary to produce a list of metrics relating to CPU usage.
To locate metrics related to a particular subject
- From the Plex Manager or from the PLEXACT view, select CMF and navigate to the EZMVS menu.
On the COMMAND line, type METRICZ and press Enter.The METRICZ view lists the metrics as shown in the following figure:

- Put the cursor on the element name and press Enter to hyperlink to the METRICD view.
- Put the cursor on the view name and press Enter to open the view.
