Sending and reviewing commands

In the BMC AMI Ops Console Management UI, you can send commands to an active session or execute an RDL function. Optionally, you can have commands or functions peer-reviewed before sending them to a session.

The application enforces peer review of critical commands that are configured by product administrators. For more information about configuring critical commands, see the Command-Review topic.

All critical commands submitted by non-approver users are automatically sent for review to all command approvers.

For details about assigning a command approver role to a user, see Creating or editing a user account.

Important

Starting from BMC AMI Ops Console Management fixpack version 4.1.01, the peer review requests can be submitted from either the browser-based viewer or the legacy viewer. Earlier, the peer and approval process could be performed only by using the same type of viewer.
