Viewers
The following table describes the UI features on the Viewers page:
UI feature | Description |

Advanced filter | Click to search for a viewer based on the available parameters. |
+ New Viewer | Click to create a new viewer. |
Actions (row) | Click to perform the following functions:

Name | Displays the name assigned to the script file. |
Description | Displays additional information about the viewer. |
Created Date | Displays the date when the viewer was created. |
Modified Date | Displays the date when the viewer was modified. |

To create a new viewer
- Click New Viewer.
Fill in the viewer details, see the following table for instructions
Field

Viewer name
(Required) Enter the viewer name.
Description
Enter a viewer description.
The viewer page contains the following tabs:
- Sessions
- Layout
- Colors
Sessions tab
You can use the Sessions tab to select the sessions that you want to include in the viewer.
The following table describes the Sessions fields:
Field | Description |

Server | Click on Server to list the sessions by the server used for the session. Tick the checkbox to select all the servers. |
Host | Click on Host to list the sessions by host. |
Sessions | Click on Session to list the sessions by name. |
Type | Click on Type to list the sessions by session type. |
You can use the Advanced filter to search for the sessions you want to include in the viewer. Use the Available tab to search by server, host, session or type. Use the Saved tab to choose a filter you previously created and saved.
Layout tab
You can use the Layout tab to control the panels that you want to display in a Viewer. You can also include or exclude panels according to your requirement.
You can include the following panels in a Viewer:

Show Explorers Panel | Disabled by default. You can enable the toggle button to display one or more explorer views. You can select from the listed views that are defined. For more information, see Explorers. |
Show Priority Message Panel | Enabled by default. Displays the priority message panel. This panel contains messages designated as important by automation rules. |
Show Alerts Panel | Enabled by default. Displays the alert panel. |
Show Scrolling Message Panel | Enabled by default. Displays the scrolling message panel. This panel contains all messages except those that are discarded by rule filtering. |
Show Command Panel | Enabled by default. Displays the command input and console launcher panel. |
Show Dashboards Panel | Disabled by default. You can enable the toggle button to create and dashboard panels and assign actions to the dashboard items You can create any number of dashboard panels. For more information, see +New Dashboard. |
+New Dashboard
Click +New Dashboard to create a new action that can be assigned to a dashboard. The following table describes the fields in the New Dashboard window:
Field | Description |

Name | Enter name of the dashboard. |
Type | Select the type of dashboard you want to monitor. |
Actions | List of actions to be applied on dashboard while monitoring. You can create any number of actions to assign to a dashboard. For more information, see +New Action. |
Cancel/Discard | Click Cancel to exit the process. Click Discard to exit without saving the changes you made. |
+New Action
Click +New Action to create a new action that can be assigned to a dashboard. The following table describes the fields in the Add Action window:
Field | Description |

Name | Enter the name you want to assign to the action. |
Description | Enter additional information about the action. |
Show Confirmation Dialog | Enable to display a conformation text when this action is executed. This is disabled by default. |
Confirmation text | Enter a text that is going to be displayed when the action is executed. |
Type (Required) | Select the type of action that the new action is going to perform. Additional fields are displayed based on the type you choose. You may be required to input more information in these additional fields. |
Cancel/Discard | Click Cancel to exit the process. Click Discard to exit without saving the changes you made. |
Colors tab
You can use the Colors tab to change the default display colors for a viewer.
To edit, copy or delete a viewer
To edit, copy or delete a viewer, click the three dots menu icon under Actions and then choose the desired action.
