Health Check


You can use the Health Check tab to perform a health check for the session.

Important

The Stop processing and Discard rules do not apply.

To perform a health check for a session, select the Enable Health Check toggle button.

The following fields contain default settings appropriate for the console type:

Also, you can configure the additional parameters in case the health check fails. These available parameters follow the same form rules.

The following table describes the parameters that you can configure:

Parameters

Description 

Mark as priority and monitor

Select this check box to mark the message as a priority and monitor it.

Important

This action applies only to console sessions.

Send alert to viewers

Select this check box to send an alert message to all viewers. 

(Required) Alert text: Enter an alert message.

Send commands

Select this check box to acquire specific health check results based on the commands you send.

You can send multiple commands by specifying one per line in the text field. For example, if you specify a trigger condition with the message ID ITT006A and select Is WTOR, you can send a command such as:


reply %message.REPLYNUM%,end

Important

You can automatically respond to the WTOR.

(RequiredCommands (one per line): Enter the commands per your requirement.

Email

Select this check box to send an email of the current message.

(Required) Host: Enter the host server of the email that will receive the health check results.

(Required) Port: Enter the server port number.

Encryption: Select the type of encryption from the drop-down list.

(Required) SMTP User: Enter the SMTP user name.

(Required) SMTP Password: Enter the SMTP password.

(Required) From: Enter your user name.

(Required) To: Enter the list of email recipients (separate by comma if there is more than one recipient). 

(Required) Subject: Enter the subject of the email.

(Required) Body: Enter the text of the email.

Send Baroc Event

Select this check box to send a Baroc event to a cell

(Required) Cell: Enter the name of the cell.

(Required) Event Text: Enter the text of the event. 

Severity: Select the severity of the Baroc event from the drop-down list.

Priority: Select the priority of the Baroc event from the drop-down list.

Create Remedy incident

Select this check box to create a Remedy incident.

(Required) Connection Name: Enter the name of the Remedy connection.

(Required) Submitter First Name: Enter your first name.

(Required) Last Name: Enter your last name.

(Required) Summary: Enter a summary text for the incident. 

Impact Type: Select the impact type for the incident.

Urgency: Select the urgency level for the incident.

Run an RDL function

Select this check box to call an RDL function. 

(Required) Function Name: Enter the function name.

Run a program

Select this check box to run the program on the server.

(Required) Program Name: Enter the program name.

Update variable value

Check this box to set a variable value for a rule. The variable name specifies an RDL session variable value. The value can be a string, a number value, or an RDL expression. You may use the variable in the trigger section in other rules, or in RDL functions and rules.
