Consoles tab


A Console Automation Server can connect to one or more CCS console sessions. The Consoles tab displays the currently defined CCS sessions with their status and allows you to start, stop, and modify Automation server connections to individual consoles.

You can use this tab to Load CCS and create or modify a new session.


Important

Some of the control buttons at the top can operate on multiple sessions; you can select the sessions from the list by selecting the check boxes.

The following table describes the UI features on the Consoles tab:

UI feature

Description

Load CCS

Displays the Load-CCS-page.

You can load some or all sessions from the CCS servers defined on this BMC AMI Ops Console Management server. All selected CCS sessions are added to the current automation server in the disabled state.

New Session

Click to manually create a new console session. For more information seeNew Session.

Enabled

Click to enable or disable the selected console sessions.

Session Name

Displays the name assigned to the session

Status

The session statuses are as follows:

  • stopped
  • starting
  • running
  • in progress
  • start failed 

CCS Server

Informational display indicating the CCS server for this session

CCS Console

Displays a list of all sessions defined for the selected server with status information and controls for each session

Status Details

Displays detailed status or any session descriptive text found in the CCS servers console definition.

Actions

To perform the following actions on multiple sessions, select the check box to the left of each session. To change the sorting order of sessions, click the column headings in blue.

  • Start: Starts the selected console sessions. Only those sessions that are enabled, but not currently running, are started; others are not affected.

  • Stop: Stops the selected console sessions that are currently running.
  • Enable: If the session has the stopped status, click to enable or resume the session. The status changes to running.
  • Disable: Disables the selected console sessions.
  • Edit:  Displays the Editing multiple sessions window. You can change one or more settings for the selected sessions in one operation.
  • Copy: Displays the Edit Session window with the settings from this session. Enter a new name and make other necessary adjustments to create another session.
  • Delete: Deletes the selected console sessions. You are prompted to confirm your decision before the sessions are deleted.
