Before installing the product, ensure that your site meets these recommended hardware and software requirements.

Software requirements

  1. Linux Red Hat Enterprise Linux or SuSE Enterprise Server:
    1. Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) version 9.
    2. SUSE Linux Enterprise Server versions 12SP5 and 15.
  2. AlmaLinux version 9 (and later).
  3. Install the system libxslt (Red Hat) or libxslt-tools (SLES) package if not already installed on your server.
  4. Install the 'sysstat', 'dos2unix' and 'lsof' utility packages.
  5. Disable any firewall software and SELinux installed in your machine.
  6. Setup the Domain Name System (DNS) and Network Time Protocol (NTP).
  7. You can Install Java 17 or Java 17 JDK. BMC AMI Ops Console Management supports the following Java distributions:
    • Oracle Java 17
    • OpenJDK 17

The following are the recommended minimum hardware requirements:

  • 1U rack-mount case with a single quad-core Xeon 3440 processor
  • 16 GB of RAM
  • Recommended for disk space: By default, BMC AMI Ops Console Management installs in /opt/bmc/ami_cm. We recommend that you have at least 8GB of free disk space on that partition.

 

Tip: For faster searching, add an asterisk to the end of your partial query. Example: cert*
