Automation for object start and stop commands


This section includes information about automation that you can define TOM to schedule when starting and stopping objects.

Important

With TOM, pre-start, post-start, pre-stop, and post-stop automation is referred to as commands and you can define these commands as any of the following commands that TOM schedules in connection with managing the object's start and stop:

  • MVS
  • EXEC
  • USS
  • AO-services
  • TOM operator console command
  • VPUT (create/update Shared var)
  • LOG (write message to Logger)
  • JRNL (write message to Journal)
  • WTO (write message to MVS console)
