BRC

BRC events are BAROC messages from external sources that are directed to the Rules Processor.

These events may be generated from TrueSight cells, other BMC product adaptors capable of producing BAROC events, and the msend command.

You do not need to specify a TGTIP entry in BBPARM member AAOGMExx for an event generator (such as TrueSight cells, the msend command, and so on) that sends only one-way communications to BMC AMI Ops Automation. You do need to specify a TGTIP entry that represents the PAS.

Support for REST API calls from the Common REST API (CRA)

Users can issue REST API calls that can trigger BMC AMI OpsA event type BRC Rules.

The Common REST API (CRA) can create and send BAROC messages toBMC AMI OpsA which receives them as event type BRC events. The following describes the processing flow:  

Non-z/OS_product -> curl -> REST_API_call -> CRA_host -> BAROC message -> BMC_AMI_OpsA_PAS -> BRC Rules
